PERFUME DUPES AND FRAGRANCE ALTERNATIVES
Find an alternative to a perfume you already love
The Scent Circle’s dupe finder brings together documented fragrance alternatives to well-known designer and niche perfumes. Choose a perfume house, fragrance and, if relevant, its exact concentration — EDT, EDP, Parfum, Extrait or Elixir — to see recorded alternatives without duplicates.
The database covers 818 original perfumes, 2,071 unique alternative fragrances and 2,381 recorded matches. Last updated 4 September 2026. Matches supported by at least three independent sources are documented; those supported by two sources are marked as provisional. Hybrids and disputed matches are labelled separately. Original perfumes and their alternatives are not necessarily identical: their scent, longevity and development on the skin may differ.
Frequently asked questions about perfume dupes
What is a perfume dupe?
A perfume dupe is a separate fragrance often described as an alternative to another perfume because of a similar style, mood or composition.
Is a dupe the same as a copy?
No. A dupe is a separate product and may differ in its notes, concentration, development and longevity. The finder shows documented matches, not a guarantee that the fragrances are identical.
Why does the list distinguish between EDT, EDP and Elixir?
Different versions of the same perfume name can smell markedly different. Therefore, EDT, EDP, Parfum, Extrait and Elixir are recorded separately when the documentation makes it possible.
Can I request a fragrance that The Scent Circle does not stock?
Yes. Use “Request a fragrance” beside the result or on the requests page. Fragrances being considered or ordered appear under “Coming soon”.
